Geraldine A. Pollock of Riverton, died Sunday night, December 16, 2012, at the age of 83 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, where she underwent surgery prior to her passing. Services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012 10 a.m. at the Davis Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Thurman will officiate. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Geraldine Alice Fabricius was born May 16,1929 in Eaton, CO to Henry Fabricius and Lydia Weber who moved several times until they permanently located to the Riverton area. She worked at Temple Drug while attending Riverton High School and graduated in 1947. She married Eldon B. Pollock on October 5, 1947 in Riverton. Gerry and their 2 children followed Eldon to San Diego, CA when he was called back to duty in the navy in 1951 and returned to Riverton after his final discharge in 1952. She then went to work for Drs. Bovenmyer and Fernau until moving to Dubois in 1954. Eldon then took a job at the Glen Canyon Dam in June 1957 and she and her family moved to Page, AZ where she went to work for Dr. Kazan as a receptionist. Eventually she worked for Page Market and Meadow Gold Dairy as a bookkeeper. As Eldon continued in heavy construction, Gerry continued her life as housewife/mother. So, 1964 the family moved to Wasco, Oregon for the construction of John Day Dam and 1970 on to Taft, California. In 1973 she and Eldon moved to Falls Church, Virginia where Gerry found temporary work as a diamond grader, getting fired and rehired each time she and Eldon went on vacation. 1973 found them moving to Breese, Illinois followed by Rocky Point, Long Island, New York in 1977 and then back west to Cobb, California in 1984 and then Wendell, California in 1988. In October 1988 Gerry and Eldon retired to Riverton, Wyoming where many of their family still reside. Gerry spent many of the last several years getting reacquainted with family members, visiting high school friends, refamilirizing herself with the VFW Auxiliary of which she was a charter member, and enjoying the all too seldom visits from her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. Survivors include son Rodney and his wife Denise of Camas, WA, grandson Evan Pollock and fiancé Faith Scott, of Richland, WA, daughter Sandra Knezovich of Riverton, granddaughter Tina and husband Pete Frullo and great grandchildren Briana Renee and Kelli Shay of, Rock Springs, grandson Troy and wife Emily Anderson of Colorado Springs, CO, granddaughter Tami Petty and her fiancé Willis "Cowboy" Ditterline of Riverton, great grandchildren Kayle Michael and Andrew Joseph Petty of Rock Springs, Sister-in-Law Genevieve Pollock of Boise, ID, step-grand daughter Dean Anne Swick and her husband Ed and 4 daughters, Destiny, Kaylie, Lynzie, Gemma, her Aunt Blanch from Casper, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Eldon B. Pollock, her parents, sister Lorraine Pollock, and brothers-in law Russell and Harold Pollock, and niece Kathleen Bush. Following Graveside Services there will be a small get together at the Clubhouse at Reach Foundation at 622 N. 8th Street W. Online condolences are available at www.thedavisfuneralhome.com.
