A Memorial service for Nancy W. Galgerud, 73, will be held Saturday, February 2nd 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Hope Christian Church located in Lander, Wyoming.

Nancy passed away January 27, 2013 at her home in Lander. She was born January 4, 1940, in Mendota, Illinois, daughter of Russell L. andMarjorie A. (Sidle) Mills.

She married Gordon Galgerud on August 3, 1959 at the First Hope Christian Church in Glasgow, MT. The couple had 6 children together and later divorced.

Nancy lived in Princeton, IL for the first 7 years of her life and then moved to Billings,MT where she graduated from Billings Sr. High School in 1958.

She worked at theDeaconess Hospital, then for Billings White Truck where she met her husband. They then moved to Longmont, CO in 1964, where she worked as a switchboard operator. The family moved to Meeteese in 1978 where they owned and operated the Oasis Motel for 8 years. She moved to Lander in 1989 and has remained there.

Nancy enjoyed working with and seeing people while working for the Holiday Express,Pamida as well as the Wyoming State Training School. Nancy enjoyed running the Lander Community Craft Fair. She also loved to bake andsell goods at the Farmers Market. She enjoyed collecting toys and making teddy bearsand loved to sew. Nancy also enjoyed spending time out at the lake fishing. She always had full bedrooms taking in foster children.

Survivors include her daughters, Penny and her husband, Clint Sauer of Lander, Kristine Terrell of Indiana and Carrie and her husband, Brian Lynch of Lander; her foster son, Ronald E. Livingston; 6 grandchildren, Candice Osborn, Donald (D.J.) Talovich, Sara Olds, Jeff Anderson, Danielle Gravenor, and Taylor Lynch; 1 great granddaughter Hunter Osborn; sister, Ellen Bradley Mills of Billings and her best friend, Jerry Kinney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Scott Gordon Galgerud, twin sons, Jeffry Wayne and Russell Alan Galgerud and brother, Michael L. Mills.
