Funeral services for Nova M. Dick of Riverton will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton. The Rev. Dale Adams of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Committal rites will be by the VFW Auxiliary. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton. There will be a viewing from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at the funeral home. A dinner will follow Saturday's service at the First Baptist Church of Riverton. Mrs. Dick died Tuesday morning, Jan. 15, 2008, at the Lander Valley Medical Center. She was 92 years old. Nova Morline Waldron was born in Alliance, Neb., on Dec. 15, 1915, the daughter of George and Ethel Mae (Whetstone) Waldron. She was graduated from Natrona County High School with the Class of 1933. On Aug. 20, 1939, she married Lester Ray Dick in Casper. The family moved to Riverton in 1940 where Mrs. Dick was a housewife and bookkeeper for the family trucking business, Dick Truck Lines. A member of the First Baptist Church of Riverton, she was very active in the church for many years. Her family said that her devotion in life was her family and she devoted her years since 1968 to caring for their son, Jerry, who was severely injured in combat in Vietnam. Survivors include two sons, Wayne Dick and his wife Cheryl, and Jerry Dick, both of Riverton; daughter, Donna Hays and her husband Mike of Riverton; grandchildren, Tony Dick, Tina and Shayne Barlow, Cindy Snider, Lori and Tim Schmelzle, Monte and Kathleen Hays, Justin and Terri Hays, Blake and Danyel Hays, all of Riverton; great grandchildren, Shane and Allison Barlow, Kyle Barlow, Abigail Barlow, Jessica Weber, Brooke Schmelzle, Rocky Schmelzle, Traye Hays, Miste Hays, Erin Dykman, Lane Dykman, Seth Hays, Mark Larvie, Kaegan Hays, and Kash Hays, all of Riverton; great-great grandchild, Zoey Barlow of Riverton; a sister, Wanda Heath and her husband, Rolen of Puyallup, Wash.; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Waldron of Casper, numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester; parents, George Waldron and Ethel Waldron Burns; step-father, Roy Burns; brothers, LeRoy Waldron and Malon Waldron.
