Funeral services for Robert James “Bob” Miller, 61, will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 23rd at his home, 427 Left Hand Spur Road in Arapahoe. Interment will follow at Miller Family Cemetery. A wake will begin 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 22nd at the family home.

Bob, also known as “Cowboy Angel” left us on the sunset of Monday, May 19, 2014 at his home in Arapahoe.

He was born on the sunrise of September 26, 1952, in Fort Washakie, WY son of Lawrence Warren and Nancy Viola (Snyder) Miller.

Bob’s Indian name was Medicine Bird. He was a member of the Episcopal Church and Traditional.

On September 26, 2012, he married Shasta V. Wallowingbull in Lander, WY.

He lived in Fremont County most of his life and graduated from Riverton High School.

Bob worked as a Cowboy/Rancher, an EMT in South Dakota, police officer in Rosebud, South Dakota and was a horseback security guard on the Wind River Reservation.

His family said that he enjoyed collecting antiques, riding horses, team roping, bull riding, was an excellent artist and liked to hang out with his many friends and family including his grandchildren. Robert and his wife, Shasta were constant companions who worked side by side and enjoyed traveling together, hunting and many other activities.

Survivors include his wife, Shasta; daughters, Sheila Rose Miller, Cheryl Lynn Miller-Woody (Art Woody) of Flagstaff, AZ, Teri Lynn Miller (Lawrence Bell), Nora Lynn Miller, April Grace Miller, Bobbi Jean Miller, Shanna Moore of Rosebud, SD.; Josh Miller, who Bob raised as his son; brother, Ben Miller, Sr.; sisters, Marilyn Monroe and Carolyn Miller Longwalker; nieces, Nancy Miller, Maggie Miller, Dawn Gambler, Krystal Miller and Tova Miller; nephews, Benny Miller (Andrea), Jerel Kohler and Bluestone Jenkins; grandkids, Josh Miller, Mykle Miller, Patrick Miller, Antonio Miller, Jade Bell, Montana TalksDifferent, Alvin TalksDifferent, Krysandralyn Padilla, Precious TalksDifferent, Nellie RedCloud, Sierrah Spang, Sheldon Miller, Chelsey Miller, Sterlyn Buffalomeat, Anthony Buffalomeat, Missy Buffalomeat, Mallory Shakespeare, Tori Miller, Janae Crispin, Yomni Miller, Pearl Miller, Fira Miller, Ices Shakespeare, Brock Bearing, Alondra Estrada, and Nizhoni RedBear; great grandchildren, Marvea Buffalomeat and Quincy Miller.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Buddy Miller, daughter, Jamie Miller, grandson, Dakota Red Cloud, granddaughter, Cali Rose Wahtomy, and nephew, Thomas Monroe.
