Clay Walters, 19 of Riverton, died on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Sage West Hospital – Lander. A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Davis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015, at 2:00 pm at Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Echo Klaproth officiating. Burial will take place at Mountain View Cemetery. A carry in dinner will follow at the Elk’s Lodge in Riverton.

Clay David Walters was born December 14, 1995 in Riverton, WY to Travis David Walters and Stacey A. Clubb Ward. He was raised in Riverton and graduated from Riverton High School with the class of 2014.

While he was in high school, he worked at Pizza Plus, Taco Bell, Brad Carlson, Rainbird, and had been working at Baileys.

He was a very spiritual person and attended sweats with his family. His family said he was a kind soul and were proud of his respect and kindness to everyone.

He loved lifting weights, hiking, working outdoors, traveling with his family, loved the ocean, teasing and scaring his cousins, and just being at home with his family and friends. His dog, Zig, was his best friend. His family remembers when he was 5 years old, he rode a Kawasaki 80 into Shoshone Lake.

He is survived by his parents, Travis and Sarah Walters and children, Ayden and Rylan, and Stacey Clubb Ward and Scott and their daughter Chris Shelton of Coquille, OR; his grandparents, Dave and Debi Walters of Riverton and Marty and Terri Clubb of Bandon, OR; his great grandparents, Darrell and Lennie Winfield, Eloisa Walters and Ann Estarbrook; his uncle, Scott Walters and his wife Andrea and their son, Kanin; his aunt, Monica Kuhnley and husband Andy and their children; Uncle, Chris Clubb and his wife Nikki and their children, and uncle Derik Clubb; girlfriend, Lynzzi Marie; as well as great aunts and uncles including the Mendes, Epplers, Saunders, Raymonds and the Winfield families; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins including Kelsey Eppler and Darian Gonzales who were his close friends.

He was preceded in death by his great grandfathers, Clarence Walters and Doug Erickson; his great great grandparents, Marion and Dapalean Winfield; his great uncles, Billy Eppler, Dan Mendes, and Floyd Nichols; and his dog, Rudy.

Memorials may be made to the Riverton Skate Park in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 W. Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
