Stuart Oldman, 75, of Riverton, died on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at Morning Star Manor. A rosary will be held on Tuesday February 3, 2015, at 7:00 pm at Great Plains Hall. The funeral mass will be on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at 10:00am at Great Plains Hall. Burial will follow at the Oldman Cemetery.

Stuart Patrick Oldman was born in March 14, 1939, in Araphaoe, WY to Daniel Joseph and Frances Esther (Headley) Oldman. He was given the Native American Name- Biito’owu’ ceebjseet, which means “Walks on Earth”. He grew up in the Arapahoe area and lived most of his life there. He graduated from Riverton High School and went on to trade school in Los Angeles, CA for iron work.

He was a devout Catholic and served as an Altar Boy while growing up.

He worked as construction worker for Brasil and Sons out of Lander, drove school bus for Arapahoe Scholl District for many years; and worked as a carpenter doing many different projects.

He was an elected official for the Northern Arapaho Entertainment Committee.

His family said that when his wife was alive, they traveled all over the country playing Bingo, they enjoyed that time together and meeting new and old friends. He also sang with the Eagle Drum Group, and loved hunting and fishing. His favorite thing to do was to throw Super Bowl Parties no matter what teams were playing, he cheered them all on.

He is survived by his sons, Donald Sharp, Paul Damiem Black Bear, Wilber Antelope, Joseph Howard Oldman, Gary C. Oldman, Ben Oldman and Otto Oldman; his daughters, Rebecca M. Bell, Regina Black Bear, LaDeena Bell, and Lujuana Antelope; his brother, Daniel Oldman, Jr.; his sister, Nora Pauline Oldman; his brother-in-law, William J. C’Hair; and his sister-in-law, Rose Marie Oldman.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dan and Esther Oldman; brothers Dewey, James,Joseph, Benjamin and Peter Paul Oldman; sister Phyllis Gardner; and two sets of twin siblings, Alvena and Melvina, and Marie and Maria.
