Funeral services for Kenneth Wayne Schierkolk, will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Pederson officiating. Military rites will be accorded by the Friday-Truan Detachment #683 Marine Corp League and Veterans. A viewing will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 5pm-7pm at Davis Funeral Home. Cremation will follow services.

Kenneth Wayne Schierkolk passed away suddenly May 21, 2015 at the age of 43. Ken was born February 16, 1972 in Texas to Delbert and Mary (Smith) Schierkolk. Ken graduated from Riverton High School in 1990 and joined the Army. He served for 3 years and was a Desert Storm Vet. After the army, Ken returned to Wyoming and married Kim Annan in 1994. They had two daughters, Jessica and Jaden. They were later divorced but remained close friends. In 2004, Ken met Katti Said and they were together at the time of his death. They had one daughter together, Jazmine.

Ken was working for Dessert Mountain Corp, driving semi-trucks. He also worked for Wright Tree Services, Big Wyoming Trucking and Bailey’s Tire and Oil.

Ken’s spare time was spent with his daughters. They were his whole world. He loved going to whatever school activity they were involved in. During the summers, he would spend weekends playing paintball, camping and fishing with the girls. He loved going hunting with friends, family and watching his oldest daughter follow in his hunting skills. He loved spending time with his friends and family, drinking coffee or hanging out. If anyone needed anything, Ken was there to help anyway he could. Ken also had a special place in his heart for animals.

Ken is survived by his father, Delbert, his daughters, Jessica Jo, Jaden Evonne and Jazmine Marie, His significant other, Katti, his ex-wife Kim (Charles) Smith.

He is preceeded in death by his mother Mary Evelyn (Smith) Schierkolk and brother Timothy Kirk Schierkolk.

Family requests in lieu of flowers donations to PAWS for Life would be appreciated.
