A memorial service for Rachael Noel Saporte-Johnson will be held on Saturday, December 19th, at 11:00AM in the Student Center Little Theatre at Central Wyoming College. Ms. Johnson died at her home in Fort Washakie, Wyoming on November 21, 2015; a result of domestic violence. She was 36 years old.
Noel was born on December 9, 1978 to her parents Jana Lynn (Elliot) and Phillip Michael Saporte.
In 2012, she moved to Wyoming, residing in Fremont County. She was a student nurse in the Central Wyoming College Associate Degree Nursing program approaching her final semester with planned graduation May, 2016.
She had a great love for her 9 children, 8 of whom resided with her in Fort Washakie. She homeschooled her children until she began college classes. Her family remembers her most for her excellent and creative cooking skills and the delicious meals she provided. She was passionate in setting the example to her family of the importance of completing her education and obtaining life skills. Nursing faculty described her as “brilliant”, and “potential for great things in nursing”. She will be greatly missed by the students, faculty and staff of Central Wyoming College.
Noel is survived by her father, Phillip Michael Saporte, her eldest son, Gabriel Stuffledean , half brother and sister, Kelsey and Christian Saporte , and grandmother, Livina Saporte, all residing in Colorado. Additionally, she is survived by her younger children currently being cared for in Fremont County: Ezra, Koby, Caleb, Willow, Attilla, Echo, Sparrow, and Meadow. She was preceded in death by her mother.
Cremation has taken place. All are welcome to attend the memorial service and in lieu of flowers, financial contributions should be directed to a trust that is currently being developed for assisting in the children’s education. Details will be published at a later date.
