Jerry Lower

Funeral services for Jerry D. Lower, 79, will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Ian McFarland of the Cornerstone Community Church officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Lower died on July 29, 2016 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming.

Jerry was born June 1, 1937 in South Dakota, son of Roy T. and Luella M. (Grooms) Lower. He grew up near Valentine, Nebraska on the family ranch.

On December 3, 1976, he married Pauline Mason in Jeffrey City, Wyoming. The couple have lived in Riverton for the past 21 years.

Jerry worked as an auto mechanic and also a heavy equipment mechanic, but his family says that he was a jack of all trades.

Jerry’s family was very important to him. He truly loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He enjoyed getting together with family and friends for cookouts or special occasions. He was the type of man that never met a stranger and was a friend to all he met. Jerry also enjoyed spending time with his brother hunting.

Mr. Lower was a member of the 1st Assembly of God.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline of the family home in Riverton; sons, Gerry D. of Gillette, WY, Gene English and his wife, Paula of Riverton and Calvin English of Riverton; daughters, Wanda Bare of Omaha, NE, Debbie Lower of Gillette, WY, Linda Moyer of Gillette, WY, Letha Music and her husband, Larry of Casper, WY and Lorri Ruffing and her husband, Tim of Worland, WY; brothers, Robert Lower and his wife, Evelyn of Valentine, NE and Don Lower and his wife Shirley of Lake Havasu City, AZ; oodles of grandkids, great grandkids, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, John Lower, sister, 2 brothers, Ted and Charles Lower.
