Graveside services for Tonya Rose Antelope Duran, 44, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Wallowingbull Cemetery. A Wake will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, November 20th at 593 17 Mile Road.
Tonya passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton, WY.
She was born on July 29, 1976, in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, daughter of Fredrick Sr. and Edna M. (Morrison) Antelope. She grew up in Potato Creek, South Dakota, but spent most of her life as a resident of the Wind River Reservation. Tonya received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social services/Human services from CWC and the University of Wyoming-addictions options.
On February 14, 2002, Tonya married Nelson Duran, Sr. in North Dakota.
Tonya loving spending time with her kids and helping to raise her grandkids as well as beading. She served as a foster parent, care giver and babysitter. She also worked as a Tanf – Case Manager, Saint Michaels Circle.
Survivors include her husband, Nelson Duran, Sr.; sons, Nelson Duran, Ronnie Duran, Bishop Duran and Tyrell Duran; daughters, Nakeesha Duran, Beatrice Duran, Cante’ Skuya Jenkins; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Mitchell Primeaux, Wendall Antelope, Sr., Donald Antelope, Sr., Jason Antelope and Preston Lee; sister, Precious Lee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick Sr. and Edna Antelope; son, Evans Duran; husband, William C’Bearing,; brothers, Fredrick Antelope, Jr., Robert Antelope; sisters, Theresa Zapata and Stephaniy C’Bearing; grandparents, Joseph Antelope, Sr., Eliza Wallowingbull, Clifford Morrison, Sr. and Eliza Morrison.
