Georgia A. Henrie of Lander died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. She was 48 years old. No Memorial services have been scheduled.

Cremation has taken place.

Georgia Ann Castillo was born on July 22, 1960, in El Paso, Tex., to Charles C. Castillo, Jr. and Alice M. (Martinez) Castillo. She grew up in El Paso, being graduated from Eastwood High School in 1978. She attended El Paso Community College where she studied to be an Administrative Assistant.

She moved to Albuquerque, NM where she met her future husband, Loy H. Henrie. The couple moved to Lander from Albuquerque in 1995, and they were married on July 3, 1998 in El Paso at her parents’ home.

Mrs. Henrie was of the Catholic faith.

She was employed as a medical bookkeeper at Lander Valley Medical Center for 13 years, where the family said she conscientiously and compassionately assisted the elderly with their billing questions.

The family also said she loved to fish, watch movies, sunbathe, grow plants and raise birds, and she was a great mom, friend, wife.

Mrs. Henrie is survived by her husband Loy Henrie of Lander; mother Alice M. Castillo of El Paso, Tex.; son Thomas C. Kidd of Spearfish, SD; daughter Desiree Dugger and her companion Eddie Gayton of El Paso, Tex.; grandson Abel Xavier Gaytan; grandfathers Charles Castillo, Sr. and Salvador Martinez, both of El Paso; sisters Debbie Diaz and her husband David of El Paso, Kathryn Castillo of El Paso, Charlotte Diaz and her husband Dan of Concord, CA,; mother-in-law Donna Henrie of Roswell, NM; father-in-law Roger Henrie of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother-in-law Raif K. Henrie and his wife Linda of Las Vegas.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles C. Castillo, Jr. on April 14, 2006; paternal grandmother Baudelia Castillo; and maternal grandmother Amelia Martinez.

Memorial donations may be made to Lander Pet Connection or Habitat for Humanity, in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 W. Main, Riverton, WY 82501.
