Funeral services for Bertha L. Campbell of rural Riverton will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, at the United Methodist Church of Riverton. The Rev. Don Schlichting will officiate and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton.

There will be a viewing from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton and from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Mrs. Campbell died at her home on the family farm off Eight Mile Road west of Riverton Thursday, May 24, 2007. She was 81 years old and a life-long local resident.

Bertha Leona Golliher was born in Riverton on July 23, 1925, the daughter of Elmer and Alma (Williams) Golliher. She was graduated from Riverton High School.

She married George D. Campbell in Riverton.

Mrs. Campbell worked as a bookkeeper for Northern Utilities in Riverton for 35 years.

She also helped with the family farm, taking care of the sheep and with lambing.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Rebekah Lodge in Riverton, and the Friends of South Pass.

Her family said she loved working and helping at the Fremont County Fair, especially with the flower exhibits. They said she enjoyed gardening, flowers, crafts, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and spending time at the family cabin at Atlantic City.

Survivors include a son, Steve Campbell and his wife Becky of Riverton; grandchildren, Marty Campbell and wife Kathy of Riverton, Joseph Campbell and wife Carol of Orlando, Fla., and Kathryn "Katie" Main and husband Edward of Lander; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Graves of Salem, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George, in 1971, and a sister, Lennis Golliher.

Memorials may be made to the Riverton Tree Board in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main, Riverton WY 82501.
