Larry Joseph Oldman, III, 20, of Riverton, Wyoming passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming.  A wake will be held from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Great Plains Hall in Arapahoe then moved to Mary Headley’s residence at 4914 Valley View in Riverton for the overnight wake.  Traditional funeral services will be 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Great Plains Hall with burial to follow at Buffalo Fat Cemetery.

 

Lawrence Jospeh Oldman, III was born on July 6, 2003 in Riverton, Wyoming to Lawrence Jospeh Oldman, Jr. and Riana Yellowbear. He grew up in the Riverton area, attended schools in Riverton, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Casper, Wyoming.

 

Lawrence was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and practiced the Traditional Native American ways.

 

He worked at Hines General Store and on the Fencing Crew at Crowheart. Larry was a hard worker and had worked various jobs in Fremont County.

 

Lawrence known as “Larry YB” enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, listening to music, playing PS4, hanging out with his brothers and sisters, and spending time with his dog, “Ace”. Larry was a friend to every person he met, was very outgoing, very handsome, funny, and he always had a smile.

 

He is survived by his mother, Riana Yellowbear, step-father, Steven Sitting Eagle, Jr.; companion, Ariona Rivera; grandparents, Mary A Headley, Kathleen and Steven Sunrhodes; sisters, Leighanna Oldman-,  Lawrencia Oldman, Jarilyn Oldman, Mary Ella Sitting Eagle, Spoony Harris, Toshina Oldman, Venessa Warren, Dacey Yellowbear, Raylene Yellowbear, Joella White Antelope, Stella White Antelope, Brentina C’Hair, Nikki C’Hair, Lillie Goggles, Sweetwater Monroe, Ra’Dene Yellowhair,; brothers, Rueben Oldman, Brandon Brown, Kalvin Yellowbear, Vincent Yellowbear, III, Frankie Yellowbear, Nathanial , Domiko, Tytrasaty, Yellowbear, Chrisopher Monroe,  Ryan “Butters”, Monroe, Jr.; Shaelynn Yellowhair, Adrianne, Julianna, Neveah, Alana, Harmony, Alinta Keriah, Leighanna, Echo, Halo, Jeanetta Antelope, Kailyn and Jae’onna Timbana aunt, Andrea Yellowbear, Leona Timbana, Adene Goggles; uncles, Vincent Jr., Dillon, Tyson Yellowbear, Levi Monroe, Sr. and Theo W. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Joseph Oldman, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Maria (Brown) Oldman, Sr.; maternal grandfather, Vincent Lee Yellowbear, Sr; sisters, Geena Oldman and Loretta Oldman; maternal great grandmothers, Ella Mae Shakespeare-Headley, Loretta Headley, and Lucille Headley; and paternal great grandparents, Calvin Yellowbear Sr., and Mary Elizabeth Lonebear; uncle, Christopher Yellowbear; best friends, Xando Threeirons and Kodah Warren.
