Graveside services for Robert “Bob” Moeck of Dubois will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 28, 2009 at the Dubois Cemetery. Military rites will be by the Dubois VFW.

Mr. Moeck died Tuesday, September 21, 2009 at his home. He was 82 years old.

Robert Moeck was born January 7, 1927 in Leavenworth, Wash., the son of Ernest Moeck and Paula (Fuller) Moeck.

Mr. Moeck served with the U.S. Army during World War II.

He had been married to his wife Lola for 60 years.

Following the war, Mr. Moeck was a bus driver in the Seattle area, and a police officer in Arlington, Tex. He then went to work for Dow Chemical in Hobbs, New Mex., as an engineer and retired from there. He owned the Pioneer Motel in Lander for two years, and sold that in 1980. He had lived in Dubois for the past 30 years.

His family said Mr. Moeck enjoyed hunting, fishing and vacationing in Mexico.

Mr. Moeck is survived by his wife Lola of Dubois; a sister Virginia McLaughlin; a nephew Bill McLaughlin; and a niece Diane Underwood.
