Joyce A. "Joy" Grieve

Joyce A. "Joy" Grieve of Riverton died Friday morning, June 8, 2007, at Wind River Healthcare in Riverton. She was 68 years old.

At her request, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.

Joyce A. Belcher was born in Nevada, Mo., on Oct. 30, 1938, the daughter of Marvin and Mildred (Whitehead) Belcher.

She received her higher education at William Woods College in Fulton, Mo., and the University of Missouri in Columbia.

She had lived in Riverton since 1981 and was a social studies and Spanish teacher at Wind River High School at Pavillion.

Her family said Ms. Grieve was "passionate about golf" and was a member of the Riverton Country Club. She was also a member of the Riverton Senior Center, AARP and Phi Beta Phi Alumni.

In addition to golf, the family said she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, played Mah Jongg with her friends weekly, but above all she loved her family.

Ms. Grieve is survived by a son, Mitch Pickens of Edwards, Colo.; daughters, Tracy Hoff and her husband Tyler of Eagle, Colo., and Kelly Greifenkamp of Queen Creek, Ariz.; a granddaughter, Erin Liles and husband Steven; a great grandson, Collin Liles; a sister, Judy Belcher of Nevada, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
