Bart Reynolds, 65, of Riverton, Wyoming, passed away at his home on Monday, March 4, 2023. Services will be held at a later date.

 

Bart Wayne Reynolds was born May 17, 1958, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to Willis Arthur and Elma (Olson) Reynolds. He grew up on the family ranch in the Black Hills of South Dakota. He graduated from Central High School in Rapid City, South Dakota, with the class of 1977. In the late 1980s, the family moved to a new ranch in Morton, Wyoming. He attended Central Wyoming College, earning his associate fegree in 1990, then continued his education at the University of Wyoming, earning his bachelor’s degree in 1993.

 

While attending Central Wyoming College, he met his life partner, Liz Toay. They were together for thirty-six years before his passing.

 

He started working at Central Wyoming College in 1993 and was the Facilities Coordinator when he left in 2023.

 

Bart loved the outdoors, hiking, camping, boating, ATVing, and fishing. He loved to spend his free time in the mountains hiking with his family and longtime friend, Dan Casey of Rapid City, South Dakota.

 

He is survived by his life partner, Liz Toay; brother, Wade Reynolds, Rapid City, South Dakota; son, Billy Toay and wife, Brittney of Keizer, Oregon; daughter, Amy Uitto, and husband, Jake of Silverton, Oregon; and grandchildren, Hayden Toay, Hunter Toay, Tanner Uitto, Ethan Uitto, Logan Uitto, and Bo Uitto.

 

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Art and Elma Reynolds, and stepmom, Madonna Reynolds.
