December 23, 1950 - March 18, 2024

Robert William Heskett, 73, of Riverton, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. A viewing will be 9:00 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2024 at Davis Funeral Home followed by graveside services held at Mountain View Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. with military honors, followed by a reception at the Riverton Elks Lodge.

Robert was born on December 23, 1950, in Sibley, Iowa, to Jeanette (Feber) and Clifford Irwin Heskett. He grew up in Citrus Heights, California, where he developed a passion for outdoors, building and creating.

He joined the Army in 1969 and served in Vietnam until 1971. He was honorably discharged and received several medals for his bravery and service.

In 1974, he moved to Riverton, Wyoming, where he settled and built roots in the community. Bob ran a successful construction business, Heskett Construction, for over 30 years. Robert was a master craftsman and took pride in his work. He built many homes and structures in the Riverton area and beyond.

Robert was a proud member of the Thermopolis National Guard up until 1997. He loved his country and was always ready to serve and protect. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.

Robert is survived by his son, Robert Heskett of Cheyenne, Wyoming; his daughter, Chrissy Heskett of Riverton, Wyoming; his brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Susan Heskett of Bend, Oregon; his grandchildren, Micayah Wright, Sasha Georgeson, and Corbin Heskett and many family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother Richard Heskett, parents, Jeanette and Clifford Heskett.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veteran or the American Cancer Society in Robert's name.

Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a kind, generous, and hardworking man who left a lasting legacy. He will always be remembered for his smile, his strength, and his love.
