Marla Jordan, 71, of Riverton, Wyoming passed away on March 27, 2024, at Help for Health Hospice Home after a lengthy illness. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 430 Elizabeth Drive, Riverton, Wyoming. Interment will be 2:00 pm at Otto Cemetery, Otto, Wyoming.

 

Marla Mae Jordan was born on May 6, 1952 in Worland, Wyoming to Claudy Virgil and Bertha (Jones) Jordan.  She grew up in Greybull, Wyoming and graduated from Greybull High School. She lived in Wyoming, California, and Montana.  She has lived in Riverton for many years.

 

Marla was baptized and a member The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

 

From her first marriage she had five children before divorcing.  She met her soul mate, David Meserve and they were together for a while before marring on August 21, 2016.  They loved each other unconditionally and were together every moment right to the very last moment.

 

She had many of her own businesses including, a day care, cake business, pizza and deli, retail, partner in a Dojo, and catering.

 

Marla loved the mountains, camping, fishing, gardening, and growing flowers. She was very artistic and had many hobbies including, making stained glass, wood carvings, making furniture out of burl wood, rock hounding, calligraphy, photography, crocheting, knitting, sewing, silk screening, painting, and genealogy.  She was a published author and enjoyed martial arts.

 

Marla’s passion was her family and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

 

She is survived by her husband, David Meserve; children, Cory Landis, Alan Landis and wife, Nina, Danielle Landis-St. John, and Amber Landis; brother, Larry Jordan and wife, Judy; sister, Amy Peterson and husband, Bob; brother-in-law, Dan Meserve and wife, Lonnie; eleven grandchildren, Britney (Justin) Wood, Tyler Landis, Trenton Landis, Paige (Robin) McElhaney, Brett (Katelyn) St John, Collin (Sierra) St. John, Alan Landis, Jr., Brianna Landis, Cora Lee Landis, Elijah Landis, and Gage McDonald; and six great grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Tressa Meserve; son, Byron Landis; sister, Faye Tolman; mother Bertha Jordan; and father, Virgil Jordan.
