Mass of Christian Burial for Benjamin Buh, 78 of Lander, is at 10 a.m., on Saturday, May 29, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lander with the Rev. Father Erickson officiating. Cremation has taken place. Mr. Buh died on Saturday, May 22, at Westward Heights Care Center in Lander. Benjamin Buh was born on Feb. 7, 1932, in Rock Springs, the son of Andrew and Anna (Prosnik) Buh. He attended schools in Rock Springs and then received his engineering degree from the University of Wyoming. On June 19, 1954, he married June Metiba in Rock Springs. The couple lived in Rock Springs, Laramie, and Casper before moving to Lander to retire for the past 20 years. Mr. Buh worked for various oil companies as a petroleum engineer before retiring from John Brown out of Casper. His family says that Mr. Buh enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and playing golf. Survivors include his wife, June of Lander; daughter, Sandy Schnorf and her husband Andy of Glenrock; grandchildren, Mandy St. John, Andy Schnorf, Eric Buh, Brian Buh, Michael Buh; great granddaughter, Emily St. John; brother, Joseph Buh and his wife Margaret of Green River, and sister Mary Susich of Centralia, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Steven Buh in 2008; brothers, John, Andrew, Tony, and Frank Buh, and sister, Annie Clark. Memorials may be made to the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 163 Leedy Drive, Lander, WY 82520.
