Mary and family,

I first met David when my mom would pick him up for kindergarten with my brother, Jim, and other kindergartners who attended Mrs. Raymond's kindergarten.  Your mother would come to the car and I immediately felt such kindness and warmth from her.  Obviously, David came from a home of great love.  May that love continue to bless all of you as you celebrate David's life.

I got to know Dave when I worked in the oil patch with him, and I found him to have a unique sense of humor.  A hard working man, who seemed to love his family and at least have their best interests at heart.   Hung out with him at this place, had several BBQ's, drank a few beers, and even went to the lake a couple of times to get away from the heat.  I am sorry for your loss and my prayers are with the family during this sad time.   Just fell out of touch over the years.   Have a safe journey Dave.

So sorry to hear of your loss of Dave. It was always good to see him at Ace and talk with him. I know he will be missed by all his friends and family.

I hope there's still room for old paratroopers in Heaven.  If my friend Dave will put in a good word for me I'd even say nice things about the 82nd even if they were number 2 behind the 101st, back in the 1960's.

I hope we can swap lies again someday.
