Rhea Katherine (McCartney) Draper passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in Riverton, Wyoming, at the age of 90.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Davis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Rhea was born on November 5, 1934, in Browning, Montana, to Milo and Alma (Brown) McCartney. She graduated from Browning High School and was a woman of strong Christian faith.

On September 15, 1956, she married Elden Earl Draper in Riverton, Wyoming. Together they raised four children—Mike, Monte, Mark, and Hallie—and shared 59 loving years of marriage before Elden’s passing in 2016.

Rhea worked at Katherine Gray a soap company and spent many years as a full-time homemaker. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed rock hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and going for drives. Her favorite places included Glacier National Park and the family cabin near South Pass and Atlantic City. Above all, Rhea cherished her family and lived a life guided by faith and love.

She is survived by her children, Mike (Audra) Draper, Monte Draper, Mark (Kim) Draper, and Hallie (Kevin) Hermann; her older sister, Hallie (McCartney) Larance; grandchildren, Jonathan Draper, Rebecca Bloom, Elisabeth Draper, Gregory Scott, Christopher Scott, Melissa Scott, James Draper, Brian Draper, Kayla Kidman, and Matthew Hermann; as well as numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elden Draper; and her brother, Galen McCartney in 2021.
