Graveside services for Ervin D. Walker, 87, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton, Wyoming. Mr. Walker passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 in Laramie, Wyoming at the Hospice of Laramie.
Ervin Dale Walker was born on November 25, 1937, in Broadwater, Nebraska, to Chelcy L. and Edith A. (Mitchell) Walker. He graduated from high school in Morton, Wyoming, in 1956.
On February 1, 1959, he married the love of his life, Judith P. Brunson, in New Castle.
Throughout his life, Ervin worked drilling for coal and uranium across the western Rocky Mountains. He later dedicated 16 years to state maintenance at Muddy Gap.
After retiring, he moved from Muddy Gap to Riverton in 2003, spending winters in Parker, Arizona. From 1957 to 1987, he made his home in Casper, where he was an active member of First Baptist Church.
Ervin’s greatest joys included hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, reading, and watching television.
Survivors include his son, Craig K. (Joni) Walker of Cheyenne, WY; daughter, Teressa Marchant of Laramie, WY and her children, Kristin Norton and Kevin (Sally) Norton; two great grandchildren, Everleigh and Finley.
Mr. Walker was preceded by his parents, Chelcy and Edith Walker; wife, Judith Walker; brother, Richard L. Walker and his wife, June; sister, Eva Richards and her husband, Calvin.
