In Loving Memory of Gavin Ray Knigge
August 12, 2009 – September 27th, 2025
Forever in our hearts
Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 05, 2025 11:00 AM Shoshoni High School Gymnasium.
Gavin Ray Knigge was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him—an adventurous, kind-hearted soul whose laughter, energy, and compassion left a lasting mark on this world. Born on August 12th, 2009, Gavin embraced life with open arms and an open heart, filling each day with joy, curiosity, and love.
He loved his family deeply and found joy in the simple, unforgettable moments they shared: fishing trips, catching crawdads, backyard bonfires, and Nerf battles that turned into cherished memories. Gavin thrived in the outdoors, whether he was at the lake, riding his bicycle until he wiped out trying to drift, riding and revving his dirt bike just to hear the sound he loved so much. Every scrape and bruise was a badge of honor—something he proudly showed his mom, grinning through the road rash.
Gavin was ecstatic to join the football team, and when someone gave him cleats, it meant the world to him. It wasn’t just gear—it was a gesture that made him feel truly wanted, truly seen. He carried that excitement into every practice, every game, with the same passion he brought to everything he did.
He had big dreams and a heart full of ambition. Gavin wanted to become a welder, get his driver’s license, and—always with a mischievous smile—asked if he could have his mom’s car. He was smart, curious, and endlessly energetic. He never spoke badly about anyone and believed that every person was a potential friend. Gavin loved people, and he loved animals—especially his cats, who were his constant companions and a source of comfort and joy.
To his friends, Gavin was the guy who made everything more fun. Whether they were gaming, hanging out, or just talking, his presence made things better. He was loyal, goofy, and full of life. He didn’t need a spotlight—he was the light.
Gavin is survived by his loving mother, Shadell Mullen; his father, Jason Knigge; his brothers, Treston Welch and Dax; his sister, Lucy; his grandparents, Stacey Hayes, Steven Mullen, and Terrie DeClue. He leaves behind a family who adored him and a community of friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Gavin passed away on September 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of joy, friendship, and a powerful reminder to embrace life with courage and love. His kindness, infectious laughter, and boundless heart will continue to echo in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
