Elaine Marie Teale-Reil
December 11, 1944 – October 1, 2025
Elaine Marie Teale-Reil, 80, of Riverton, Wyoming, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. She was born on December 11, 1944, in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of George Stewart and Edith Marie (Laube) Teale.
Elaine was of the Presbyterian faith and was raised in the Marlette, Michigan, area. She attended school in Flint, Michigan, and later obtained her GED—an accomplishment she was very proud of. She worked as a waitress at her family’s business, Teale’s Café, where she enjoyed meeting people and serving the community.
Elaine had three sons: George Douglas, Harvey Eugene, and Adam Troy.
On April 22, 1974, she married Ronnie Lee Reil in Mount Morris, Michigan.
In 2010, Elaine moved to Wyoming, where she enjoyed the companionship of friends and family. She had a lifelong love for animals—especially dogs—and found joy in simple pleasures such as visiting with friends, taking trips to the casino, and relaxing at home watching her favorite television shows. Those who knew Elaine will remember her quick wit, honest spirit, and colorful language.
Elaine is survived by her sons, George, Harvey, and Adam; nephews, Shane Cook and Marc Teale; great-nieces and nephews, Shy Cook, Leena Cook, and Shane Cook Jr.; sister-in-law, Iva May; and her family by love—Paige, Pam, Eric, Amy, and Jess.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Edith Teale; her husband, Ronnie Reil; and her brother, Douglas Fredrick Teale.
Per her wishes, there will be no services held. Elaine’s ashes will be spread where the wild horses roam—forever free, just as her spirit has always been.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton, Wyoming.
