Private services for Ben Pribbernow of Pavillion will be held at the family home. Mr. Pribbernow died at home on Sunday, July 24, 2011, at the age of 82. Benjamin Edward Pribbernow was born in Clark County, Wis., on March 12, 1929, the son of Alvin Herman Pribbernow and Martha Marie (Hammemann) Pribbernow. He attended the Clark School, one mile from his home, completing the eighth grade. He played baseball for the Clark Dirty Socks. Mr. Pribbernow was a farmer and worked in road construction. During the Korean War, he served with the U.S. Army, 1951-52. He married Ruth Ann Davidson on Oct. 1, 1955, at the Holway Lutheran Church in Taylor County, Wis. Mr. Pribbernow was of the Lutheran faith. The family moved to Wyoming from Wisconsin in 1978, settling in the Pavillion area. Before retirement, he worked for Gilpatrick Construction and other construction companies in Wyoming. His family said that Mr. Pribbernow enjoyed woodworking and made many wooden lawn chairs that are around the Pavillion and Riverton areas. He supported the Pavillion Fire Department by donating these wooden lawn chairs for their auction. Survivors include his wife Ruthann Davidson Pribbernow of Pavillion; sons, Paul Pribbernow of Iowa, Pete Pribbernow and his wife Phyllis of Pavillion, and Eric Pribbernow and his wife Michelle of Casper; daughters, Linda Pribbernow of Riverton, Kathy Garver and her husband Paul of Midwest, Sally Gonzalez and her husband Emilio of Riverton, and Mary Noe and her husband Kevin of Pavillion; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Chuck, Bob, and Allie Pribbernow, all of Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hattie; brothers, Don, Ruben, and Earl, and sisters, Evie, Betty, and Lucille.
