Military graveside services for Ralph R. Cameron, Jr., of Dubois are at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, at the Dubois Cemetery. Pastor Frank Coniglio of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church of Dubois officiates. Committal rites are by the Dubois Veterans of Foreign Wars. A reception follows at the VFW Hall in Dubois. Mr. Cameron died in Dubois on Saturday morning, Sept. 10, 2011. He was 64. Ralph Roy Cameron, Jr., was born in McCook, Neb., on May 12, 1947, the son of Ralph Roy Cameron, Sr., and Madeline (Holzknecht) Cameron. The family lived at Alcova while he was growing up and then moved into Casper, where he was graduated from Natrona County High School with the Class of 1965. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Cameron worked as a heavy equipment operator for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation for 30 years, retiring in 2002. While serving in Vietnam and Working for the Bureau of Reclamation, Mr. Cameron received citations and awards for his service. He moved to the Dubois area in 1992, had a cabin built on Union Pass and made that his home since retirement. He was a past member of the Masonic Lodge and Shrine while living in Casper and belonged to the B.P.O.Elks Lodge in Riverton. When he was younger, Mr. Cameron enjoyed Corvettes. He also liked snowmobile and four-wheelers. Survivors include his companion, Judy Foster of Dubois; a brother, Gregory M. Cameron of Sheridan, and his Sheltie dog, Addy. Mr. Cameron was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to the Amedisys-Little Wind Hospital, Dubois VFW, or a charity of the donor's choice through the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
