Funeral services for Riverton native Linda S. "Smiley" Fausset of Portland, Oregon, are at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Riverton. Pastor David Magruder officiates and interment follows at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton.

Ms. Fausset died in Portland on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011, at the age of 45.

Linda Sue Fausset was born in Riverton on Oct. 1, 1965, the daughter of Melvin Leroy Fausset and Elaine Nadine (Butz) Fausset.

She was graduated from Riverton High School with the Class of 1984 and moved to Jackson. She then moved to Kalispell, Mont., where she worked and attended college, earning an Associate of Arts degree from Flathead Valley Community College in 1992, before moving to Portland, Oregonwhere she worked as a social advocate for the handicapped.

Her family said she enjoyed landscaping and gardening, was talented in the arts, liked to write poetry and do woodcarving, and loved spending time with her dog, "Annie."

Survivors include her parents, Mel and Elaine Fausset of Riverton; brother, M. Jay Fausset; sisters, May Lynn Long and her husband Pat, Kay Keen and her husband Brent; nephews, Casey Keierleber and Wyatt LeClair; nieces, Cassidy Stone, Calli Stone, and Jessica LeClair.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Maurice and Edythe Fausset and Elmer and Martha Butz.

Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran church and/or school, in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
