Celeste M. Wadda of Fort Washakie died at the Lander Regional Hospital Friday morning, Oct. 7, 2011, at the age of 76.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at a later date.
Celeste Marie Meeks was born in Fort Washakie on Sunday, Sept. 22, 1935, the daughter of Louis and Alvena (Laho) Meeks.
Mrs. Wadda was a homemaker and life-long resident of Fort Washakie.
Among her survivors is her husband of 42 years, Lyle E. Wadda; daughters, Kelly Pingree, Gloria Whitworth, Joann Carpenter, Kim Lambert, and Tomi Osborne; sons, Don Mitchell and Ron Mitchell; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; a brother, and five sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and an infant sister.
