Funeral services for Greg Olson of Shoshoni are at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton. The Rev. Father Carlito Saballo officiates and interment follows at Lakeview Cemetery in Shoshoni.
There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. a rosary follows at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24.
Mr. Olson died at the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at the age of 63.
Gregory Alan Olson was born in Ogden, Utah, on Wedn., July 28, 1948, the son of Frank Tulla Olson and Mildred Sarah (Ranson) Olson.
He graduated from high school in Ogden and attended college for two years.
On Feb. 21, 1997, he married Clorinda "Clara” Eufalia Trujillo in Thermopolis.
Mr. Olson has lived in Shoshoni for 18 years, moving there from Green River. He worked in maintenance for the town of Shoshoni.
His family said Mr. Olson enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, watching movies, and family time.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Olson of Shoshoni; a son, Brian Chavez; daughters, Rhiannon Jarvis, Rosie Chavez, Rita Leidy, and Stacie Chavez; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Sarah Ranson; father, Frank Tulla Olson; grandparents, Ricky Maxwell, Andy Maxwel; and son, Johnnie Allanis.
