Donna Wintermote of Riverton died Monday evening, Jan. 9, 2012, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. She was 63.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date, to be announced by the Davis Funeral Home of Riverton.
Donna Stiles was born in Greencastle, Mo., on April 7, 1948, the daughter of Truman and Elsie Stiles. She grew up in Sheridan.
She married Varnard Wintermote in Casper on May 10, 1976.
The couple moved from Casper to Riverton, then lived in Louisiana for 12 years, returning to make their home in Riverton in 2003.
Mrs. Wintermote was of the Baptist faith.
She was a member of the Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and had served as state commander in the past.
While in Louisiana, she worked as a school cook.
Her family said Mrs. Wintermote enjoyed camping and time spent with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Varnard; her children, Albert Wintermote and his wife Lydia, Licia Stewart and husband Mark, and Kathryn Campbell and husband Marty; step-children, Vincent Wintermote, Cathryn Boughman and her husband Jim, Kelly Wintermote, Lisa Wintermote, and Reed Wintermote; an adopted daughter, Alicia Wintermote; numerous grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a brother, Donald Stiles; sisters, Marie Swyner and Louise Miller; a brother-in-law, Gene Wintermote; a sister-in-law, Genie Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Colleen.
