Marlene F. SunRhodes, 53 of St. Stephen's, died at Riverton Memorial Hospital Monday evening, April 16, 2012. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 23, at Great Plains Hall at Arapahoe with the Rev. Father John Gaffney officiating. Interment follows at the Arapaho Catholic Cemetery at St. Stephen's. Rosary is at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at Great Plains Hall with a wake following. Marlene Faye Arthur was born in Riverton on Sept. 15, 1958, the daughter of Simon L. Arthur, Sr., and Elsie (Swallow) Arthur. She was of the Northeran Arapaho and Northern Cheyenne tribes. She attended the Inter-Mountain School in Brigham City, Utah, and Riverton High School where she played basketball, volleyball, and softball. Mrs. SunRhodes was a homemaker, having married Damon J. SunRhodes on May 8, 1982, in Fort Washakie. In her younger years, she worked for 789 Bingo for three years and for Great Plains Day Care for two years. She was baptized in the Catholic faith. Her family said Mrs. SunRhodes enjoyed beading, being with her grandchildren, pow-wows, traveling, and going to the casino. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Damon SunRhodes; sons, James Jenkins, Jude Jenkins, Jr., and Duane Shakespeare; daughters, Melain Jenkins, Delain SunRhodes, Tiffany Arthur, Laura Dresser, Crystal Dresser, Dallas Sue Dresser, Menyan Dresser, Ann Howell, Yvonne Moss Yellowhair, Naomi Carrier, Josette Brown, Aletia Yellowhair, Victoria Brown, Arron Arthur, Cheryl Patterson, Josephine Sitting Eagle, Leanna Shogutsie, and Clarissa Brown; grandchildren, Anthony Jenkins, Nikeah Jenkins, Jude Jenkins III, John Jenkins, Cante' Skuya Jenkins, Gertrude Moss, Haily Jenkins, Uriah Arthur, Devon Big Medicine, Sienna Arthur, Chase M.
