Nancy L. Witt of Riverton died at her home on Thursday, October 11, 2007. She was 59 years old.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2007 at United Baptist Church, with Pastor Mark Yeatman officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2007 at the Davis Funeral Home.
Nancy Lee Vaughn was born in Riverton on July 18, 1948, the daughter of Randall Eugene Vaughn and Maugene Lee (Laseman) Vaughn. She grew up in Riverton and resided there most of her life. She was graduated from Riverton High School with the Class of 1966, and went on to achieve an associates degree in accounting.
On June 18, 1977 she married Brian Witt in Riverton.
Mrs. Witt was a member of the United Baptist Church and was very active in the church as a Sunday School teacher and director of the Women’s Missionary Union.
Her family said she enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family and friends. Her crocheted cross bookmark has been shared around the world with missionaries.
Mrs. Witt was employed as a clerk at the Wal-Mart pharmacy.
In addition to her husband, Brian Witt, she is survived by daughters Karen Wells and her husband Kim, and Judy Middleton, son James Witt, all of Riverton; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Kelsie, Steffen, Tony, Kassandra and Korbin; one brother John Vaughn and his wife Marilou of Riverton.
Mrs. Witt was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Yvonne Witt.
