Services will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2012, 2:30pm. at the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall with John Poly officiating.
Bettylou Damewood was born on January 2, 1932 in Des Moines, IA, to Bruce Damewood and Mae (Correll) Damewood.
She was raised and graduated high school from Chicago, IL.
She was of the Jehovah’s Witness Faith being baptized on September 5, 1959. She was active in her church until her health started to decline.
On November1, 1951 she was married to Paul Townley Montz in College Springs, IA. Together they raised three sons. They lived in many different places including, Idaho, Texas, Missouri, Louisiana, Nebraska and in Wyoming three different times.
She sold Avon for many years along with working in retail at GNC and Sears. She also managed apartments with her husband while they lived in Missouri.
Her family said she enjoyed painting and crocheting.
She is survived by her sons, John P. Montz, of Rock Springs, WY, George L. Montz and his wife Susan of Riverton, WY, and Bruce T. Montz and his wife Linden of Denver, CO.; a sister Patricia Williams; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul on Febr. 24, 2012, her parents, stepfather, George Hogue, a sister and her grandparents, Tilden and Lydia Correll.
