Charles “Chuck” Walton, 80, of Riverton, died peacefully Saturday, July 7, 2012 at his home with his family by his side.
Quienton Charles Walton, Jr. was born on May 21, 1932 in Oklahoma City, Ok to Quienton Charles Walton Sr. and Anna Valeria (Sloan) Walton.
Chuck moved to Riverton 54 years ago and worked in the oil field. He was a mud engineer for Baroid until 1965. He then started Dry Drilling Service and operated it until he changed career paths and became a real estate appraiser and developer.
On September 7, 1971 he married Shirley Jean Colgan in Thermopolis, WY.
He was a member of the Riverton Country Club and Sertoma.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating and skiing.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons, Doug Walton and Rick Colgan; daughters, Debra Walton, Karen Royce, and Terri Warrior; sisters, Ann Brown and Nancy Stoltz; all of their spouses; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
