Theodore H. "Ted" Nobles of Shoshoni died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007 at Morning Star Manor in Fort Washakie. He was 75 years old.
A graveside service for interment of cremated remains will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Lake View Cemetery in Shoshoni.
Theodore Harrison Nobles was born Jan. 13, 1932 in Kennett, Mo., the son of Albert Nobles and Beulah (Tate) Nobles.
Mr. Nobles was a painter most of his life, beginning when he was 12 years old. He was self-employed as a painting contractor.
He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He married LoRee B. Wilson, who survives him.
Mr. Nobles moved to Shoshoni in 2005.
In 1991 he was president of the stock car association in Pocatello. The family said Mr. Nobles was a sports and stock car enthusiast, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors.
In addition to his wife LoRee, Mr. Nobes is survived by step-son, Fred Bloomquist and his wife Rachel and their children Jordon, Makayla, Eden, Abraham, Sophie, and Lilly, all of Middleton, Idaho; step-son, Jim Bloomquist and his wife Bobby and their daughter Rachel of Montana; step-daughter, Mary Fitzgerald of Shoshoni and her children Isaac Fitzgerald of Shoshoni, Gary Fitzgerald and his wife Katie with the U.S. Marines in Midpark, N.C., and two step-great grandchildren in North Carolina; step-daughter, Clara Anne Howard and her husband Jim and their children Sarah, Sam, Elizabeth, Katie and Joseph, all of Winsted, Conn.; brothers, Bill Nobles of Escondido, Calif., and Tim Nobles of Tallahachie, Calif.; sister, Lucy Davison of Nevada; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Nobles was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother.
