Emma Marie Overholt, 83, of Riverton died on Saturday, August 4, 2012 in Billings, MT. at the Acu-Health Hospital of Montana.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012, at 10:00am at Davis Funeral Home. The Reverend Sally Bub will officiate. A celebration of her life will follow at Sunset Park in Riverton for family and friends.
Emma Marie Baker was born on January 19, 1929 in Wonsevu, Kansas , to Clinton Levi Baker and Margaret Irene (Brown) Baker on the family farm. She spent her younger years in Kansas. On November 11, 1945 she married Harry Overholt in Emporia, Kansas before moving to Denver, CO to run a family owned business. After her divorce in 1959, she and her sons moved to Riverton to be closer to family.
Marie, as she preferred, was a housewife and a cook, which she very much enjoyed. Besides cooking, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, and fishing in her younger years.
She is survived by her son, Harry Bruce Overholt of Riverton; her nephew Larry Baker and his wife, Patti Jo of Pavillion, her sister-in-law, Rosalie Baker of Pavillion; great nieces, Tania and Robyn Baker; great-great nieces, Jayden Myers, Lily Swanson, and Sofia Swanson; great-great- nephew, Bailey Myers; and special friends, Alex Stanley and Angie Pattyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Harmon Baker, and son Dennis Lee Overholt.
