Private family services are being held for Jeanette Ann Storm, 96, who died September 24, 2012 at the Wind River Health Care Center in Riverton, Wyoming.
Jeanette was born May 18, 1916 in Deadwood, South Dakota, daughter of Maurice and Myrtle Flora (Penter) McClure.
She grew up at Mona, Wyoming where her family owned and operated a post office and store. She then married Lyle Storm and moved to her husband’s family ranch near New Haven, Wyoming. The couple bought their own ranch on Medicine Creek, Wyoming in 1943. They lived there until they retired and moved to Hulett, and then moved to Riverton to be closer to family.
Jeanette enjoyed gardening and had her own flower and gift shop called The Flower Porch in Hulett, WY. She was active as a 4H leader and served for many years. She was an accomplished musician, playing several different instruments and was a beautiful seamstress.
Survivors include her daughters, Lorraine Long of Riverton, Elinor James of Riverton and Phillis Goodman of Story, Wy; 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Storm, who she was married to for 60 years before he died in 1997; her parents, sons-in-law, Walt Goodman, Jim Long, and Harry James.
