A memorial service for Linda Brantley, 62, will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Eagle Hall in Riverton. Cremation has taken place.
Linda passed away peacefully in her home on March 3, 2013.
She was born February 7, 1951, in Lander, Wyoming, daughter of Raymond “Dude” Peterson.
On October 31, 1990, Linda married Joseph Christopher Brantley.
Aside from spending some time during her youth in Colorado, Linda has spent most all her life here in Fremont County.
Mrs. Brantley has been a member of the Eagles for 25 years, served in many community activities, and donated much of her time to the Women’s Help Center.
She loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, friends and her pets. Her family said that Linda enjoyed outdoor activities such as gardening, seeing the fall colors in the Wind River Mountains, and could not resist rock and stump hunting for never-ending landscaping projects. She also enjoyed watching any crime investigation show, traveling and shopping.
Linda worked for over thirty years as a licensed bonded title agent.
Survivors include her husband, Chris of Riverton; son, Ryan Johnson of Sheridan, WY; daughter, Erin Michelle Crider also of Sheridan; 8 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, and grandparents, Lafeyette E. and Catherine Willard.
