Mary Fabrizius, 89, of Riverton died Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Wind River Health Care. Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 10, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at the Davis Funeral Home with Father Demetrio Penascoza officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. A viewing will precede the service from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
Mary Applehans was born Thursday, January 3, 1924 to John Sr. and Monica (Rolheiser) Applehans in Riverton. She went to Riverton schools and lived in Riverton all her life.
She married Elmer A. Fabrizius on December 9, 1944 in Lander. He preceded her in death on September 5, 1998. Mrs. Fabrizius was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. She enjoyed growing a large garden every year and sharing her vegetables with family and neighbors. She also enjoyed having family dinners with her brothers and sisters. Her family said she loved taking care of pets of all kinds.
She is survived by her son, Jim of Riverton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Fabrizius; sisters, Annie Moran, Catherine Bessey; brothers, Joe Appelhance, George Applehans, Felix Applehans, and John Applehans.
Memorials may be made to the Paws for Life Animal Center in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 W. Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
