Delmar G. " Del" " Dane" Morris II, 41 of Riverton, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at the Thermopolis Rehabilitation Center.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton. Pastor Mark Shacklee will officiate.
Viewing will be held from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
Mr. Morris had requested that no black be worn at his service and that it be a celebration of his life, not a mourning of his death.
Delmar Gene Morris II was born in Lincoln, Neb., on Jan. 20, 1966, the son of Delmer Gene and Nelia (Sherrell) Morris.
His family said he enjoyed all kinds of sports and was a fan of the Miami Dolphin football team.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne; daughter, Amanda " Mandy" ; his parents, Nelia and Alex Dane and his father, Delmar Gene Morris; four sisters, Sheri Hawley, Amy Morris, Diana from Holland, and Sharon " Kay Kay" Schamel; brothers, Franklin Morris and Dave Jansen of Holland; father- and mother-in-law, Walt and Joan Westling; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Karla Westling, Kristi and Darin Albrandt, Wally and Kim Westling; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, including an aunt and uncle in Holland; close friends, Troy Harper and Terry Case, and many other friends.
Memorials may be made to The Cancer Society, Little Wind Hospice, Help for Health, Life Line Pilots, Dr. Lewis at the Riverton Hospital, Riverton Memorial Hospital, or the Denver, Casper, and Thermopolis Hospitals, in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main, Riverton, WY 82501.
