Sandra “Sandy” McMillen, 67, of Riverton, died at Riverton Memorial Hospital on Saturday, December 7, 2013. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be with her family at Mountain View Cemetery.
A memorial service will be Thursday, December 12, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at the CES Johnson Center. Pastor Ed Murray will officiate. A reception with cookies and punch will follow the service.
Sandra Kay McMillen was born on December 10, 1945 in Riverton, WY to Harry Evans and Kathleen (Boland) McMillen. Sandy lived in Riverton until she was nine years old then she went to live at the Wyoming State Training School. As an adult, she came back to Riverton in 1998 and lived with the help of CES (Community Entry Services).
Her family said she liked to listen to music, sing her favorite songs, eating cookies, spending time with her friends, and loved animals.
She is survived by her mother, Kate McMillen.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harry E. McMillen; her brothers, Ralph and Dennis McMillen; and her sister, Sheila McMillen.
Memorials may be made to CES or Paws For Life in care of Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home.
