Salena Trembley, of Riverton, died on Thursday March 27th at the age of 99. Funeral services will be Saturday April 5th at 10:00 am at the Davis Funeral Home with burial at Mountain View Cemetery. Pastor Dale Adams of Lighthouse Bible Church will be officiating.
Salena Reid Trembley was born at Lost Cabin, Wyoming on December 4th, 1914 the daughter of William J. Reid and Annie Livingston Reid. At the age of one year she moved with her parents to a ranch north of Arapahoe.
She attended Arapahoe and Riverton schools and graduated from Riverton High School in 1933.
Salena and Hugh met at the Delfelder Grange meeting in 1939 and were married on November 9th, 1942.
She worked in Lander, then in 1939 became the first bookkeeper for the Riverton Valley Electric Association where she retired in 1976 after 37 ½ years of service. After retirement she did some part time work at the Riverton Senior Citizens Center.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, working with children’s activities and doing volunteer work at the Senior Center. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and most recently of Lighthouse Bible Church. She was a past matron of the Eastern Star and American Association of Retired Persons.
She is survived by her nephew William Reid and great niece Sally Reid both of Great Falls, Montana.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Trembley, parents William and Annie Reid, brother Carson Reid and his wife Ruby Reid.
