Ethelyn “Jane” Berg, 90, of Riverton, died on November 10, 2014 at the Help for Health Hospice Home. Memorial services will be held in her home state at the Congregational Church in Hayward, Wisconsin. No services will be held in Riverton.
Ethelyn Jane Sieh was born in Hayward, WI on March 1, 1924, to Fredrick and Josephine Elizabeth (Cilley) Sieh. She was one of nine children. She was raised in Hayward graduating with the class of 1942 from Hayward High School.
She married Clarence Bayo in Hayward, WI. Together they had a daughter, Chris. She later married Leonard “Pat” Berg in Lexington Park, MD. She became the step-mother to three sons and two daughters.
Although she was a homemaker she also worked as a Dorm Director at Marietta College in Marietta, OH and was an office manager for Minnesota Value and Fitting in Minneapolis, MN. She was also a professional seamstress and milliner in Detroit, MI.
She lived in many different areas of the mid-west including Hayward, Madison and Eau Claire, WI, Overland Park, KS, Grosse Pointe, MI, Marietta, OH, St. Paul, MN, and Lexington Park, MD. In 1992 she moved to Riverton, WY to be closer to her daughter, Chris.
She attended the United Presbyterian Church in Riverton. She was a faithful attendee of the church and bible studies as well as volunteering for many projects.
Her daughter said she enjoyed gardening, needlework, baking, sewing, and dog sitting her “grand dog.” She was an avid follower of the Riverton Wolverine sports, especially basketball and volleyball.
She is survived by her daughter, Chris Watne of Riveton; her step-sons, David Berg of MD, Larry (Pam) Berg of MD. And Dennis (Yvonne) Berg of GA; her step-daughters, Karen (Charles) Lunsford of IN and Betsy (Jim) Darr of VA; her eight grandchildren, Zach Berg, Kurt Lunsford, Jeff Lunsford, Billy Darr, Davey Darr, Dennis Berg, Jackie Berg, and Jennifer Berg; her brother, Clayton (Jean) Sieh; her sisters-in-law, June Sieh and Audrey Sieh; and special nieces and nephews, Joey Johnson, Donnie Biscobing, Susie Hanson, Kathy Ruhsam, Howard Sieh, George Greve, and Jenny Kuhr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Jospehine Sieh; her husbands, Clarence Bayo and Pat Berg; two sisters, LaDonna Greve and June Belter; and five brothers, Howard, Willard, Roderick, Donald, and Jimmy.
