Keith Annan, 94, formally of Riverton and Thermopolis, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Deserte Health and Rehabilitation Center in Saratoga, WY. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Davis Funeral Home. A viewing will be held one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

Keith Leonnel Annan was born on January 2, 1920 in Coin, IA to Bryan and Grace (Heller) Annan. In 1935 the family came to Pavillion, WY to farm on the land in the Midvale area, that his Grandfather, Lewis Annan, had homesteaded. He attended schools in Pavillion and graduated with the class of 1937.

He was of the Presbyterian faith.

On April 24, 1940, he married the love of his life, Lois Jeanette Davis, in Riverton. Together they had six children, three boys and three girls. While raising his family he worked in the lumber industry as a logger and he was called to help with Search and Rescue missions and fight forest fires. As a jack of all trades he worked as a heavy equipment operator, farmer, miner, built roads in Alaska, helped build Boysen Dam, worked in the Gas Hills, and as a manager for LeClair Irrigation Ditch, and Valley View Supper Club and Bowling Alley. He lived in Riverton until 2006 when he and his wife moved to Thermopolis. When he was 92 years young, he retired. He remained in Thermopolis after his dear wife passed in 2011 until just this past fall when he moved to Saratoga.

He was a member of the Saratoga Lodge No. 14 AF & AM.

His family said that he loved being around family and friends and always looked forward to the family gatherings. Over the years the family grew to include grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and he enjoyed all of them.

He is survived by his daughters, Mickey Anderson and her husband, Charlie of Riverton and Sandra Willford and her husband, Teense of Saratoga; his sons, Lonnie Annan and his wife Vickie of Berthoud, CO and Pat Annan and his wife Peggy of Broken Arrow, OK; his sister-in-law, Donna Annan of Payson, AZ; his 25 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Lois; his daughter, Karen Hunt; his son, Larry Annan; his brother, Bill Annan; his sisters, Geraldine Vermillion and Lois Jean Wagner; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Help for Health Hospice or donor’s choice in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 W. Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
