Linda Howerton, 59, of Riverton, died on Monday, December 29, 2014, at her home. A gathering will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2015, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the family home located at 224 N 2nd West in Riverton.
Linda Marie Bryant was born on December 22, 1955 in Harrisburg, IL to William Robert and Nona Beatrice (Chaney) Bryant.
She was of the Christian faith. Her ministry was playing piano for children and small fellowships of believers.
On December 31, 1976, in Crete, IL she married her soul mate, James Layton Howerton. They shared almost 38 years together and raised five children that she was so proud of.
She was a teacher by profession, who taught in TN, KY, and Wyoming at Ashgrove Elementary School for many years.
She loved Wyoming, spending time with friends, and the annual family reunions at the beach.
She is survived by her husband, James Layton Howerton of Riverton; her daughter, Rachel Marie Howerton of Riverton; her sons, Jonathan Ryan Howerton and his wife, Natalie, and grandsons, Noah and Canon of Nashville, TN, Andrew Layton Howerton of Denver, CO, Jordan Lee Howerton of Denver, CO, and Zachary Scott Howerton and his wife, Samantha of Riverton; and her brother, William Clifton Bryant of Tulsa, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Nona Bryant and her in-laws, Rev. E.P. and Eunice Howerton.
