Blossom Felter, 66, of Ethete, died on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at her home. A viewing and wake will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015, at Blue Sky Hall, starting at 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at 10:00 at Blue Sky Hall with burial at St. Michael’s Mission Cemetery.
Blossom Geraldine Felter was born on February 8, 1948 in Fort Washakie to Alvin Charles Felter and Evelyn (Brown) Tyler. She graduated high school from the Chilocco School in Oklahoma. She returned to the Ethete area and spent most of her life there.
She attended college and received her Associates Degree. She worked for over 27 years at Northern Arapaho Tribal Housing where she was an Occupancy Specialist.
She enjoyed being around her grandchildren both locally and in Albuquerque, NM. She liked going to the casino, watching criminal justice shows and playing games on her phone.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Felter, Sr. of Ethete and Ray (Kristie) Felter of Ethete; her daughter, Rochelle Addison of Ethete; her brothers, Wayne Felter, Ernest Felter and Sherwin Felter; her sisters, Rubena Hernandez, Fern Felter, Sharon Gambler, Roberta Spoonhunter, and Mary Martinez; and her seventeen grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, and her brothers, Arvin Felter, Howard Felter, George Felter, and Darrel Felter.
Services are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home.
