Krista Topaum, 35, formally of Riverton, died on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Porters Adventist Hospital in Denver. A rosary will be on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at 7:00 pm at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. A wake will follow at the home of Delight O’Neal located at 167 Trosper Lane in Ethete. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at 10:00am at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Stephen’s Catholic Cemetery..
Krista Leah Topaum was born on July 21, 1979 in Pocatello, ID to Alfred Lee, Sr. and Catherine (O’Neal) Topaum. She was raised on the Wind River Reservation attended schools in Lander, WY. She graduated from the Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, CA. After school she lived in Salt Lake City, UT and Denver, CO for a few years each. She also lived in Hawaii for one year. For the last few years she had lived in Casper, WY and was attending Casper College working towards her degree in Social Work.
She was baptized and raised as a Catholic attending church at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ethete. In recent years she was a member of the Life Line Christian Church in Riverton, WY.
Before moving to Casper to attended school, she worked at for the Northern Arapaho Tribe in different positions.
Her family said that she loved spending time with children and family. Visiting and talking with her Grandmother Delight was very special to her. She enjoyed cooking and attending her nieces and nephews school and sporting events.
