Funeral services for Jeremy Joseph “Bear” Barrett, 40, who died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Davis Funeral Home. A viewing will be Monday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services.
Jeremy was born July 19, 1974, in Riverton, Wyoming, son of Robert L. and Patricia E. (Bowman) Barrett.
He grew up in Riverton and Shoshoni, attending school in Shoshoni. He also attended Job Corps in Colorado earning his GED learning skills in painting and building.
He married Rhonda Slack but later divorced. Together they had one son.
Jeremy worked for Warpaint as a mechanic and also for Exterran as a compressor mechanic.
He enjoyed playing pool, listening to music, playing darts and loved to be under the hood of a car. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming at the lake and Thermopolis. He had a deep appreciation for art and tattoos.
Survivors include his mother, Patricia Wesch of Riverton, sons, Ransom Barrett of Riverton and Zachary Hansen of Casper; brothers, Gary Wesch and his wife Tiana of Riverton and Scott Lee Baker and Melissa Chapman of Colorado Springs, CO; 2 nephews and 1 niece.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and step-father.
