Faye Hambidge

Sep 7, 1929 - May 5, 2015
On May 5, 2015 our beloved Faye Lorrian Hambidge went home to our Heavenly Father peacefully from her home at Warm Valley Lodge in Dubois Wyoming. She was 85.

Faye was born September 7, 1929 in Easton, Maryland to James F. Robinson and Louise (Harrington) Robinson. She was an only child, spent a lot of her early life with her grandparents and graduated from Easton High School in 1946.

Faye started working at the Maryland National Bank in Easton, Maryland in 1946 she worked in Customer Service and stayed with the bank through many name changes retiring in 1993.

Faye’s first true love was Frank Hambidge, an only child as well. After only two months of courtship they were married June 16, 1951. They were married almost fifty years when Frank passed in 2000. Easton, Maryland was their home. Frank and Faye were not able to have children therefore their home always had the pitter patter sound of paws from their dogs.

Faye and Frank enjoyed traveling and fell in love with the west. They started spending summers “out west” in the late 1980’s and once retired built their dream home on the golf course in Dubois, Wyoming. The Hambidges were in awe of the west and the small town of Dubois. They felt they were now home and what started as friendship became the deep love of family, children, and grandchildren, their nowchosen family that they were unable to have in their earlier life.

Faye spent the next ten years volunteering for numerous organizations throughout the Dubois community. She was a member of The Dubois Chamber of Commerce, National Big Horn Sheep Center, Dubois Museum, Dubois Friends of the Library, T.O.W., Dubois Kiwanis, St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Dubois, and Charter Member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Easton, Maryland.

After Frank’s passing, Faye was blessed to have a second love in her life, Felix Kotarski. Felix was a hunter and fisherman and introduced Faye to his outdoor life. They spent many summer days taking picnic lunches to Fish Lake where Faye caught her first fish. They spent their winters in Yuma, Arizona with their dogs and enjoyed seven wonderful years together before Felix passed.

In September of 2013, Faye and her dog Shadow moved into Warm Valley Lodge, the assisted living center in Dubois and quickly became the Welcoming Ambassador for the center. Faye truly loved the staff, other residents, and her time at Warm Valley Lodge, especially Friday night “Happy Hour” when that wonderful smile greeted friends from the community as they stop by to say hello. She was loved and left footprints on all our hearts.

Survivors include Faye’s beloved dog, Shadow, Faye’s Wyoming Family that she considered her children and grandchildren, Pete and Sheryl Chimenti of Dubois, Wyoming, Brandon Chimenti and Kaylaof Laramie, Wyoming, Cameron Chimenti of Laramie, Wyoming, Dear Friend Beth Chimenti of Dubois Wyoming.
