A Funeral Mass for Gladys Mildred Weber, 96, will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Lander. A Rosary for Gladys will be recited on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 7:00 pm. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander, Wyoming.

Gladys died Monday, June 8, 2015 at Powell Valley Health Care in Powell, Wyoming.

She was born September 3, 1918 in Omaha, Nebraska, daughter of Harold and Eva (Lindquist) Westbrook.

Gladys graduated high school from Cheyenne Central. She then married John H. Weber on February 23, 1936 in Cheyenne. Soon after the couple married, they lived and ranched on the Kite Ranch in Albany County. From 1952 until 2008, she and John ranched in Lyons Valley.

Gladys worked as a telephone operator in the mid 1950’s until it changed to dial. Gladys worked alongside John on the ranch for most of her life.

Gladys enjoyed reading, fixing meals, crocheting, embroidery and getting her family together.

She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Table Mountain Community Club, and the Cowbelles, now known as the Lander Valley Cattlewomen.

Survivors include her sons, Jack and his wife Pat Weber of Jackson, Wyoming, Ron and his wife, Becki Weber of Shoshoni, Wyoming, and Dale Weber of Lander, Wyoming; daughters, Roseva and her husband, Glen Van Patton of Jackson, Wyoming, Evelyn Asay of Powell, Wyoming and Peggy and her husband, Gary McColl of Cody, Wyoming; 30 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Eva; husband, John; son, Corky Weber; granddaughter, Kim Asay; infant grandson; brother, Clarence Westbrook; and sister, Virginia Caster.

Memorials may be made to the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 W. Main Street, Riverton, WY 82501.
